EDF agrees British Energy buy, sets up £11bn loan
EDF has finally reached an agreement to buy British Energy, upping its bid from £12bn to £12.5bn. The French energy group previously had a debt facility in place, mandated to BNP Paribas, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland and Société Générale. hat will happen to that now given the new offer price and the troubles that have hit the loan market since last week’s turmoil in capital markets?
