Refinancing glut spells trouble ahead
While market volatility has brought the primary market to a standstill this week, there are further worries that corporate issuers will find it increasingly difficult to refinance maturing debt over the coming months. With Eu87bn of bonds from corporate borrowers rated Baa and below maturing before December 2010, and increased instability in the global markets, these are worrying times for corporate issuers.
