EDF goes long in sterling

EDF sold a £1bn 40 year bond on Tuesday, the first senior corporate deal in sterling in over seven years with that long a tenor. The bond has helped ensure another week of robust European supply. Suez Environnement printed a Eu750m hybrid the same day, while Renault tapped its 2015 5.625% notes for Eu250m on Monday. EuroWeek carries full coverage on Friday.
