‘Big’ September to bring up to $100bn of new US issues
Up to $100bn of new investment grade issues will emerge in September once the US market re-opens after the annual Labor Day holiday on Monday, bankers forecast. This would compare with just under $70bn during August, which ended on a quiet note this week with only three new debt sales. A $400m debut offering from Stanley Black & Decker was accompanied by deals from Dominion Resources and Sara Lee.
