Record-breaking AIA makes life hard for CJ Land
Success may breed success, but when it comes to flotations, one great triumph can easily swamp smaller deals. The Hong Kong IPO of CJ Land Holdings has certainly had a positive reception from investors, but has been made tougher by coming so close to the HK$138.3bn ($17.8bn) flotation of insurance company AIA, according to bankers working on the deal.
