Investors get taste of the unknown
There has been a rush of corporate bond issues from little known names. Italian toll road operator Sias sold a debut Eu500m 10 year deal on Tuesday, following a benchmark debut transaction from chemicals firm Arkema and property business Corio last week. Bankers doubt that supply will slow in the coming weeks. Investors hope they are right, given the absence of issuance from Europe’s already well-funded blue chips.
