Singapore plans Islamic note sale
Singapore’s central bank said it will issue Islamic notes in early 2009 as the city state looks to target the Shariah-compliant market. The Islamic securities will qualify for the same treatment as conventional government securities, with returns tied to the yield of equivalent existing instruments.
