AIB first out of Ireland

Allied Irish Banks will be the first out of the blocks to test investors’ appetite for Irish bank guaranteed debt this week. The issuer has mandated Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Société Générale to lead manage its inaugural deal under its guaranteed programme. Books will officially tomorrow but investors’ appetite will be tested at the 50bp-60bp over mid-swaps level. Will investors bite?
