Hana under ratings pressure after KEB bid
Moody’s put Hana Bank on review for downgrade after its parent company announced a $4bn deal to buy a large stake in Korea Exchange Bank from a US private equity firm. Australia’s ANZ Bank had been expected to buy the stake — until a few weeks ago when Hana swooped in with a last minute bid.
