CLO downgrades in store as S&P updates criteria
Collateralised loan obligations, which have so far escaped mass downgrades, may be hit as Standard & Poor’s has announced that it is reviewing its rating criteria for the structures. The agency expects to raise credit enhancement levels which may result in downgrades, particularly of the more junior tranches of CLOs. Read Euroweek this week for the market reaction.
