Eni prices inside of Italy
Oil firm Eni sold a Eu1bn seven year bond about 12bp inside Italy’s curve on Monday, becoming the first European corporate borrower in memory to price tighter than its sovereign, according to several bankers. “None of us thinks this has happened before,” said one. Some added the deal will be a fillip for Spain’s bluechips. “If Eni can do it, why not the likes of Telefónica?” Read more in EuroWeek on Friday.
