Investors flock to Lafarge, Schlumberger
Europe’s senior corporate bond market proved robust this week amid the volatility caused by renewed concerns over Irish sovereign and bank debt. French building materials group Lafarge and oilfield services firm Schlumberger particularly excited corporate bankers, raising Eu8bn of orders between them as they each issued Eu1bn deals on Thursday.
