Regional banks mask Calyon loss for Crédit Agricole
Calyon, the investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole, made a Eu99m loss in the third quarter of 2009. It blamed losses stemming from its ABS and CLO portfolios and lower revenues from its capital markets and investment banking operations. These fell by 12.5% compared with the second quarter.
