Nordea best in show as issuance picks up
Euro covered bond issuance gained momentum this week, with three issuers coming to market and others announcing mandates. Nordea Bank Finland on Tuesday built one of the year’s largest order books for a euro issue, pricing a Eu2bn five year inaugural benchmark on the back of Eu3.7bn of demand. Also in the market were Austria’s Hypo NOE Gruppe Bank with a Eu500m three year inaugural public sector Pfandbrief and France’s Caisse de Refinancement de l’Habitat, which on Monday sold a Eu800m long five year deal.
