Banks defiant as Madoff trustee lashes out
The trustee for the liquidation of the Bernard Madoff investment scheme has spent the last week lashing out at global financial institutions. Within the last week, trustee Irving Picard has filed suits against firms including HSBC, JPMorgan, Citigroup, UBS, Natixis, Fortis, ABN Amro, BBVA, Merrill Lynch and Nomura.
