IMF failed to warn of crisis
The Independent Evaluation Office of the International Monetary Fund has released a critical report of the Fund’s surveillance performance in the run-up to the global financial and economic crisis. The report said that the IMF had provided few clear warnings about the risks and vulnerabilities associated with the impending crisis before it hit.
