Issuance slows but investors upbeat

The furious pace of covered bond issuance has started to slacken, with just three deals surfacing this week, all of which were German. Despite this, two surveys suggested that investors were positive about the market and planned to increase their holdings. Elsewhere, impending regulation was a major theme of two bank-sponsored conferences, while Moody’s predicted the death of multi-cédulas, a sector that has recently found its feet and is performed well.
