US covered bonds to get first hearing on Friday
There was progress this week on the long journey towards US covered bond legislation when Republican Senator Scott Garrett introduced the Covered Bond Act 2011 on Tuesday. The introduction is to be followed by a hearing on Friday before the Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises.
