Fitch looks at ratings scale change
Fitch Ratings has proposed changing the scale it uses to assess banks’ individual ratings to increase the detail of the measure. The ratings agency is considering using a 19 point scale for banks’ individual ratings, instead of its current nine point scale. It would also change the name of the rating to "viability rating".
