Japan responded to its earthquake and tsunami with dignity, stoicism and fortitude. It also reacted with breathtaking speed, rebuilding many destroyed roads and bridges virtually overnight. Restoring confidence will take more time, but the longer-term prospects for Japan’s capital markets remain bright. Philip Moore reports.
