Bankers dispute Minmetals’ share placement timing, size
China’s Minmetals Resources raised HK$3.89bn ($500m) from a primary share sale on Tuesday night. But the placement was reduced from that initially shown to the market on Monday. Bankers close to the deal pointed to disputes between the global co-ordinators and the bookrunners over the size and timing of the deal.
