JP Morgan’s investment banking fees drives rise in profits
The strong performance of JP Morgan’s investment banking division buoyed the first quarter results of the US bank, as it reported net income of $5.6bn. Its profits, up 67% on the same period last year, surpassed analysts’ expectations, as did earnings per share at $1.28.
