ICB proposals will challenge banks, say agencies

The proposals in this week’s UK Independent Commission on Banking report will have a mixed effect on UK banks, the three main rating agencies said. Each highlighted the potential ring-fencing of retail and investment banking operations and its possible effect on bondholders as something which could affect the sector.
