Uruguay plans dollar exchange as it strives for IG status
Uruguay announced its plans to exchange dollar-denominated debt for local currency debt this year in a push for investment grade status. Economy minister Fernando Lorenzo said the government intended to reduce the amount of debt denominated in foreign currency from 65% to 55%.
