PTTEP bond gives Barclays big leap in rankings but tiny fee
Barclays Capital leapt up the league tables this week when it closed a $700m bond for Thailand’s PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP). But the deal caused debate among rival bankers — largely focused on the single-digit fees on offer — and was not priced until the order book had been held open a day longer than many expected.
