US market shrugs off default risk as HCA supersizes bond
The US will not default. That was the unequivocal view from Wall Street this week in spite of the bickering that continued in Washington over the US debt ceiling. And although it was another choppy week in bond markets, it was still one with plenty of new issuance — including a remarkable $5bn from hospital chain HCA, the biggest high yield issue since the credit crisis.
