Global banks still escaping resolution net, says Basel
National regulators need to work harder towards implementing international bank resolution plans, the Basel Committee said on Wednesday. Reviewing progress made on resolution regimes, the committee noted that different jurisdictions were strengthening their bank resolution tools, but it said that measures to address the largest institutions were lacking.
