Bernanke disappoints Asian debt bankers
Asian debt bankers are bracing themselves for another tough week in the bond market, after US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke gave little hope of a third round of quantitative easing last week. Some bankers said that unless Bernanke made explicit and bullish comments in a heavily anticipated speech last Friday (August 26), the credit market would likely remain shut for several weeks at least.
