ECM bankers fear September drought after equities slump

The sharp sell-off in equity markets at the end of last week and throughout most of this week was not a disaster for some ECM syndicate bankers in Asia, who launched and priced several deals in the run-up to the collapse on Friday. But bankers worry that unless markets settle soon, they will have to pull deals planned for next month.
