Supermarket chain Sheng Siong Group wants to raise S$115.995m ($95.4m) from a listing on the Singapore stock exchange, and pushed ahead with the public marketing of the transaction at the end of last week. But bankers not working on the deal fiercely questioned the logic of launching a new transaction in this environment.
