BNPP fixed income revenues tumble, €534m Greek hit booked
BNP Paribas has taken a €534m write-down on its Greek sovereign bond holdings, in anticipation of the country’s debt restructuring. The revelation came in the bank's second quarter results announcement, when the bank posted a modest year on year increase in pre-tax profits to its corporate and investment banking division, despite a sharp decline in fixed income revenues.
