HKEx renminbi IPOs face documentation hurdle
Hong Kong’s stock exchange will push ahead with a plan to boost liquidity in the offshore renminbi equity market next month, launching a facility that will allow investors to swap Hong Kong dollars into renminbi to easily participate in deals. But the success or failure of the scheme will be tough to judge for some time, said a Hong Kong-based lawyer: there are simply not enough deals.
