Mini-QFII investors will be directed to bonds

The Chinese government is likely to allow 20 funds to use the Rmb20bn ($3.12bn) allocation it has planned for the first round of mini-QFII approvals — and it will tell those funds to invest most of their money in the mainland bond market, according to Jing Ulrich, chairman of global markets, China, at JPMorgan.
