BANKING: Windfall profits underline turnaround of Thai banks
While western institutions have been reeling over write-downs, Thailand's leading lenders have reported healthy profits. Reforms introduced after the Asian financial crisis finally appear to be paying off. A wave of foreign investment could be on the horizon, although the affect of rising interest rates and a slowing economy remains to be seen. Ben Davies reports.
