Spanish, Italian banks first to announce ECB take-ups

Spanish and Italian financial institutions have been among the first of Europe’s banks to announce how much funding they took in the European Central Bank’s first ever three year LTRO. As the perception of ECB funding shifts from negative to positive, more banks are likely to release such data in the new year, said bankers on Thursday.
