ABN moves to exploit opportunities in Asian lending
ABN Amro has been working to boost its presence in Asia’s loan market over the last year and a half, focusing on energy, commodities and transportation (ECT) companies and building a team of around 50 people in the sector. But the firm still has plans to hire more staff — and Maaike Steinebach, the head of ECT in Asia, told EuroWeekAsia that she sees big opportunities for the bank in the fast-growing region.
