Abertis picks right time to sell Eutelsat amid blocks blitz

Spanish toll-road operator Abertis last Thursday night (January 12) sold down €981m of stock in French satellite firm Eutelsat in a deal that had been the subject of rumours in November 2011 but failed to emerge then amid market volatility. Following the €1.36bn Repsol block on the Tuesday — and with a €175m GSW Immobilien block going at zero discount, also on the Thursday evening — the accelerated market has returned in 2012 in strong form.
