ECM volumes plummet despite secondary rallies across Asia Pac
Asia Pacific ECM volumes are down almost 80% from the same time last year, with bankers closing just $6.12bn of transactions, compared with $30bn at the start of 2011. The widespread rise in equity markets should take some of the blame: big sellers are waiting for stocks to go up even further before launching deals.
