Without more decisive government intervention to support the nation’s debt-laden corporations, Japan will see more bankruptcies in 2009 than ever before, say analysts. They warn that a refinancing Armageddon is on the horizon, with an estimated US$60 billion in corporate bonds due to mature in the next fiscal year.
