The US bank has been increasingly speculated to be interested in bidding for emerging markets-focused rival Standard Chartered. Analysts believe that the two would make for a decent fit, but they add that with a likely price tag of US$80 billion StanChart is likely to prove too pricey for J.P. Morgan.
