Lebanese debt exchange gathers speed
Lebanon began a $1.5bn debt exchange on Monday morning, seeking to swap paper maturing in 2013 for longer dated bonds. The exchange got off to a slow start but picked up in the afternoon after minimum yields for each tranche were announced at around 2pm, Beirut time.
