Mizuho stands still in second quarter
Mizuho Financial Group is facing an uphill struggle to hit its profit target for the year, after it followed an eye-catching first quarter with virtual stasis over the last three months. The bank made ¥184.2bn ($2.3bn) of net profit in the first half, but the most recent quarter contributed just ¥356m of that.
