Is it just me, or is the habit of turning perfectly good nouns into verbs a curse of our times? Actioning, targeting, impacting: it is wrong, wrong, wrong. This verbing phenomenon, or denominalisation, as it is correctly known, is spreading as perniciously as Japanese knotweed. And, just like that Oriental invader, once it takes root it is all but impossible to eradicate.
