China IPOs to open soon, but market calls for drastic changes
Chinese bankers are becoming increasingly optimistic that local regulators will re-open the IPO market over the next few months, giving them a chance to get through the mountain of mandates that have piled up since October. But despite an improvement in sentiment at the end of last year, the regulator needs to make widespread changes before the stock market can really be given a clean bill of health, writes Matthew Thomas.
