Sberbank markets Eurolira but rivals question demand

Sberbank is selling the first ever Eurolira bond from a Russian issuer this week. Syndicate officials not on the deal questioned whether demand would be strong for a non-Turkish emerging market name issuing in lira, although those working on the bond said the combination of Sberbank’s powerful name and the strong demand for yield would see the deal through.
