KPN opts for real equity but hybrids, mandos could help

Dutch telecoms firm KPN this week said it would raise €4bn of fresh equity to deleverage its balance sheet, confounding some analysts that had hoped it could relieve the pressure on its investment grade ratings through hybrid debt and mandatory convertible issuance alone.
