Large, cross-border banks need to raise €112.4bn of common equity tier one capital to reach the target CET1 ratio under Basel III — but shortfalls are gradually decreasing as lenders boost their capital and reduce risk weighted assets, according to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s latest assessments.
