DB beats capital target, then raises extra €2.8bn
Deutsche Bank launched a €2.8bn capital increase on Monday evening, a sub-10% accelerated offer that left some observers perplexed. The deal will add around 80bp of core tier one capital which, for those worried about capital levels hardly changes the equation but is perhaps an irritant for those that are already impressed by strong organic capital generation.
