Periphery comes out to play before holidays
Mid-week holidays did not deter financial institutions from issuing bonds at the start of this week, although activity will probably be subdued for the rest of it. BBVA printed Europe's first CRD-compliant additional tier one bond on Tuesday, selling $1.5bn of perpetual contingent convertible paper, with a controversial multi-trigger equity conversion feature.
