Nomura profits jump 475%
The Japanese bank posted pre-tax profits of ¥113.2bn ($1.1bn) for the three months ending June 30, a huge leap over the ¥19.7bn ($197.3m) in the same period of 2012 thanks to a strong showing in its retail division.
